Making a SPLASH with free activities for 9-16 year olds during school holiday periods

Splash is growing to meet locally identified needs, offering diverse, free to access, positive activities for young people aged 9-16 years throughout school holiday periods. We prioritise those who are ‘facing challenges in their lives’.

We are extremely grateful to all our supporters, those who help us with funding, referral and delivery and the 17 volunteers that currently help us run our project, supporting and engaging with young people and delivering our sessions.

Splash Activity

Splash has provided 381 contact sessions, engaging 140 young people, in the past six months and we are looking forward to a fun packed summer, comprising of 39 project days and two residentials. Fifteen Wiltshire towns are hosting Splash projects which include a range of new activities such as a residential at a ‘care farm’, skate boarding, high ropes and dance.

Some quotes from our last haft term holiday positive activity programme:

  • “The project was awesome” - A volunteer
  • “Splash are doing a fantastic job which truly benefits young people.  They offer fun, exciting, engaging activities which the young people thoroughly enjoy”.  - Secondary School teacher
  • “It was amazing” - A young person
  • “My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Splash activity.  For her to say something is amazing means it really must have been.  She is really looking forward to the next project.” - A Parent
