Being part of a round-the-world yacht crew is a challenge. The Archdeacon of Wilts, the Venerable John Wraw is using this challenge to raise money for Wiltshire Young Carers Service, one of the projects run by Youth Action Wiltshire.

Youth Action Wiltshire, the youth arm of Community First, supports over 750 young carers in Wiltshire aged between 5 and 25. These young people have significant caring responsibilities for a member of their family who may have physical disabilities, chronic and long-term illness, learning disabilities or serious mental health issues.

John Wraw’s fundraising journey began with the first leg of the race from Hull to Rio de Janeiro, which commenced on September 13th.  John hasn’t sailed since he was a child and has been on several sailing courses to prepare for the journey.
