What We Do
Club Support
We support and develop voluntary youth clubs and projects. How do we do this? Through a programme of club visits, regular youth leaders forums, and bi-monthly newsletters we provide information, training and workshops on a variety of issues, ranging from roles and responsibilities of a management committee, craft and sports workshops through to fundraising and managing young people.
Get Kicking
In July 2004 Youth Action Wiltshire was awarded £103,000 from the Football Foundation to kick-start new interest in youth soccer in Wiltshire and Swindon.
We aim to increase participation at grass roots level, by providing a mobile coaching programme with qualified and appropriate coaches across the county.
The project is to run for five years and will result in sustainable youth football in the more deprived and isolated parts of the county.

Through a diverse range of activities and events YAW promotes, encourages and supports participation, enabling further development of young people in sport or a creative activity with the possibility of representing their county at a regional or national level.

Young Carers
YAW runs the Wiltshire Young Carers project, a young carer is a child or young person between the ages of 5 - 25 years whose life is affected by caring for another, over and above just 'helping out'. We provide time out opportunities and strive to bring about recognition and respect for their role.
Who We Are
Youth Action Wiltshire is a registered charity limited by guarantee. We were established in 1947 and are the only voluntary youth organisation in the county offering training and information for club leaders, together with advice, sporting and creative activities and events for young people aged between 8 and 25 years in youth projects and clubs.
How We Do It
We consult with youth leaders and club members and from this we put together a programme of challenging and fun events for all.
We are currently developing our training and activities programme which has been enlarged and developed in response to our members requests.
We are constantly monitoring and reviewing our work, to encompass as many groups as possible and to make sure our members needs are being met.
